
The D.W. Daniel Foundation is a group of parents, community leaders, and alumni who work together to promote and support various programs at Daniel High School. The group serves as a body of volunteers for fundraisers and other activities that assist the school. A Board of the Foundation meets monthly to plan and coordinate activities. The Foundation Board consists of representatives from all three communities (Six Mile, Central, and Clemson) that surround Daniel High School, student leaders, a faculty member, and the school principal.
The Foundation's mission is to promote, support, and improve all aspects of the educational programs at Daniel High School to the benefit of the entire student body.

Among the major items that the Academic Foundation has funded in the past are:
- A 14-passenger activity bus
- A portion of the electronic message board at the entrance to the school
- New reference and literary materials for the media center and ninth grade English classes
- Computers for the Journalism class, math lab, and media center
- Graphing calculators for the Math Department and Special Education Classes
- Registration fees and travel expenses for the Math Team, the Academic Team, and the Student Council
- The Daniel literary magazine and the school newspaper
