First United Methodist Church’s Bufort B. and Sudie K. McKelvey Scholarship This scholarship offered by the First United Methodist Church is for any senior and will be awarded for the 2013-2014 school year. Clarence L.B. Addison Memorial Scholarship The Clemson Sertoma Club is offering a $1,500 scholarship for a student in Oconee, Pickens, or Anderson County who will be attending higher education next year. Bobby Chapman Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program The Bobby Chapman Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship is awarded to a student who will be a graduate of a high school in the Southeastern US and/or who participated in a prior Bobby Chapman Invitational. The student must be a person of good character, demonstrate leadership capacity, have academic promise, and show promise of making a positive contribution as a mature citizen. This $1,500 scholarship can be renewed annually for four years. The student may or may not be a golfer. Application must be postmarked by March 29, 2013 to guarantee consideration. South Carolina State Fair “Ride of Your Life” Scholarship Any high school senior going to a SC university, college or technical college for a 2 or 4 year degree is eligible to apply for the South Carolina State Fair “Ride of Your Life” Scholarship. The completed application, school transcripts, a current photo and an essay on their educational experience in SC is required. Fifty seniors will be awarded $1,500 per year for up to four years. George Rogers Foundation Scholarship The George Rogers Foundation of the Carolinas, Inc. awards scholarships to first-generation students attending post-secondary schools in South and North Carolinas. 1980 Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers wanted to give back to students who are the very first in their families to attend college because he was given the opportunity to be the first in his family to attend and graduate college. Easley Junior Women’s Club Scholarship The EJWC is offering a $ 1,000 scholarship for any senior who plans to attend an institution of higher learning in the state of SC. Tri-County Technical College Foundation Scholarship Tr-County Technical College Foundation is awarding numerous scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year. Scholarship award amounts vary and may not represent total tuition costs. BMW Scholars Program BMW Manufacturing will soon accept applications for the 2013 class of BMW Scholars. The application process is managed through their partner technical colleges: Greenville Tech, Spartanburg CC, and Tri-County TC. This program is a valuable way to pay for an associate’s degree, earn part time wages, receive top notch training, and be in line for a full time position upon graduation.

Upstate Association of Education Office Professionals Scholarship The UAEOP is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving senior that plans to pursue a degree in the business or education field. The application includes a one page essay, letters of recommendation, and a high school transcript. Please pick up an application in the Guidance Office. Buick Achievers Scholarship Program The Buick Achievers program recognizes and supports those who put forth effort and find success both in and out of the classroom, yet are unable to attend college without financial assistance by offering 100 scholarships each up to $25,000 a year and 1,000 scholarships each at $2,000. James F. Byrnes Foundation Scholarship The James F. Byrnes Foundation was established in 1949 to assist young South Carolinians who have lost one of both parents to obtain college education. The annual award of $3,250.00 is applied for each year of a four-year bachelor’s degree program. The scholarship is renewed annually contingent upon the recipient’s maintenance of satisfactory academic standing, need for financial assistance, and participation in Byrnes Scholars activities. In order to be eligible, a student must: - have one or more parents deceased - be a SC resident and US citizen - pursue a bachelor’s degree at a 4-year college or university - have received the SAT/ACT score - have financial need Students may visit the James F. Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Scholarship Program This generous student study abroad scholarship program is offered to high school students ages 15-18. Requirements: Students must be a U.S. citizen Student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. GI Film Festival This school year, the GI Film Festival is holding an initiative in cooperation with the Department of Defense Korean War Commemoration Committee. The GI Film Festival is the nation's only film festival whose mission is to preserve the stories of our men and women in uniform through the medium of film and television. Every year in May in Washington DC we bring Hollywood and the military together for a weeklong event celebrating the success and sacrifice of our service men and women. As a part of this festival, interested high school students are encouraged make a 3-5 minute film about a Korean War veteran - interview, act out a story, animation, anything. All videos will be posted on the DoD KW-60 website. Five students who submit videos will win two tickets to the GI Film Festival and a $500 scholarship. 2013 South Carolina Association of Title I Administrators Scholarship The SCATA will award twelve scholarships for deserving students. Two scholarships, $2,000 1st place and $1,000 2nd place, will be awarded to each of the six regions. Recipients will submit an application to their district coordinator. Winners will be notified on or before Friday, February 15 and will be recognized in March.

McLamore, the BURGER KING Scholars program has awarded more than 17,000 scholarships - $17.6 million - to high school students, BK® employees and their children across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Abbott and Fenner $1,000 Scholarship Program Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are committed to continuing their efforts to help those who have the desire and ambition to succeed. They will award up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year. University of Miami George W. Jenkins Scholarship In honor of the Publix Super Market founder, George W. Jenkins, this University of Miami scholarship covers the annual cost of tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, books and personal expenses. It is valued at over $200,000. The scholarships are awarded to high school graduates who have successfully overcome significant adversity, as well as achieved academic excellence in spite of this adversity. SunTrust “Off to College Scholarship” Sweepstakes The SunTrust “Off To College Scholarship” Sweepstakes SM is available to high school seniors and current undergraduate students. SC Teaching Fellows In order to apply, you must be a High School Senior, a legal resident of SC and will be attending a college as a freshman in the Fall of 2013 at one of the following Teaching Fellow Institutes: Anderson University, Charleston Southern University, College of Charleston, Columbia College, Furman University, Lander University, Newberry College, SC State University, USC Columbia, USC Upstate, and Winthrop University.
